How the Shopify EDI Integration Works
Step One - Receive EDI Orders Automatically
New EDI orders are automatically uploaded into the EDI Connector web app and an email notification is sent.
All EDI order data is immediately available for review.
No manual order entry required, which ensures faster order processing.
Step Two - Confirm Orders
Once an order is confirmed, it is automatically forwarded into your Shopify webshop ready to fulfil the confirmed items and quantities.
Step Three - Automatic DESADV Creation
As soon as fulfillment in Shopify is partially or fully completed, Shopify automatically sends a notification to EDI Connector.
We then retrieve the fulfillment data from Shopify, including track & trace information where possible, and convert it into a compliant EDI DESADV message structure.
The DESADV message is sent directly to the retailer, giving them real-time insight into the shipment details.
Step Four - Automatic EDI Invoice Processing
After shipment, users can create the final invoice directly inside the EDI Connector platform.
The invoice data is automatically converted into a compliant EDI INVOIC message and transmitted to the retailer electronically.
