How does the Exact Online API work?
EDI Connector connects to Exact Online using secure webhooks and API endpoints. As soon as a workflow step is completed in Exact, the matching EDI message is sent automatically to your trading partner.

Step One - Orders
​
An EDI order is received and delivered straight into your Exact Online system via the EDI Connector API. We will send you an email notification to let you know a new EDI order is waiting to be processed.

Step Two - Shipments
​
Create a goods delivery in Exact Online, and the EDI Connector API will immediately convert this into an EDI DESADV message ready to update your trading partner of the shipment details in real-time.

Step Three - Invoices
​​
Create an invoice in Exact Online, and the EDI Connector API will immediately convert this into an EDI INVOIC message and send it to your trading partner.
