How does the Exact Online API work?
Step one – Orders
An EDI order is received and placed directly into your Exact Online system via the EDI Connector API. You receive an email notification as soon as a new EDI order is ready to be processed.
Step two – Deliveries
When you create a goods delivery in Exact Online, the EDI Connector API immediately converts it into an EDI DESADV message, informing your trading partner in real time about the shipment details.
Step three – Invoices
As soon as you post an invoice in Exact Online, it is instantly converted by the EDI Connector API into an EDI INVOIC message and sent to your trading partner.
All EDI processing takes place fully in the background and in real time. You continue working in Exact Online. We take care of the EDI.
